Job Summary
The Manual Screen Printer is responsible for operating manual screen printing presses to produce high-quality prints on garments and textiles. This role includes screen setup, ink mixing, artwork alignment, and maintaining consistency throughout production runs. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, works efficiently under deadlines, and understands the full screen printing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual screen printing presses to print designs on garments and textiles
- Set up screens, prepare inks, and align artwork for accurate placement
- Maintain print consistency, color accuracy, and quality across production runs
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Clean and maintain screens, tools, and work area
- Follow production schedules and meet daily quotas
- Adhere to all company safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements
- 2–3 years of manual screen printing experience required
- Strong ability to align artwork and maintain consistency across runs
- Knowledge of inks, screen setup, and printing techniques
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a production or warehouse environment
- Familiarity with different garment materials and print techniques
Work Environment
This position operates in a production/warehouse setting and may involve exposure to inks, chemicals, noise, and varying temperatures. Proper safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) must be followed.
