Job Description

On Target Staffing is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for a well-established food distribution facility in Brookshire, TX.

We are looking for a dependable, safety-conscious individual with experience operating electric forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment. The ideal candidate will have experience navigating narrow aisles, working around warehouse racking systems, and safely lifting and positioning pallets at elevated heights.

This opportunity offers consistent weekday scheduling, weekly pay, and potential long-term employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned forklift equipment in a busy distribution facility.
• Transport, load, unload, and relocate pallets of products throughout the warehouse.
• Safely lift and position palletized products on warehouse racks reaching approximately 25–30 feet high, using appropriate equipment.
• Navigate narrow aisles and confined spaces between metal storage racks.
• Follow warehouse safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Perform pre-operation equipment inspections and report safety or mechanical concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Follow supervisor instructions and complete assigned tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on experience operating electric forklifts required.
• Experience working with elevated warehouse racking systems preferred.
• Ability to safely maneuver material-handling equipment in narrow aisles and tight spaces.
• Previous warehouse, distribution, or food distribution experience preferred.
• Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and productivity.
• Reliable attendance and availability to work Monday through Friday, beginning at 9:00 AM, with varying end times based on daily workload.
• Ability to understand and follow job-related safety instructions and procedures.
• Ability to meet applicable pre-employment screening requirements, including a background check and 5-panel drug screening, consistent with applicable law.

Workplace Requirements

• Steel-toe work boots are required.
• Safety glasses and gloves will be provided.
• No shorts, sneakers, or flip-flops permitted.
• Personal cell phone use is prohibited on the warehouse floor.
• Employees must follow all facility safety policies and procedures.
