Quality Control Inspector

Location: Dallas, TX
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour

Job Type: Temporary
Company: Food Production Company

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Saturday availability required

Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support quality assurance operations in a fast-paced production environment. This position is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process production, finished products, inventory, and outgoing shipments to ensure quality standards are consistently met.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming materials and products to verify specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct visual inspections and measurement-based testing.
  • Identify and isolate products that do not meet quality requirements.
  • Monitor and document quality-related production activities.
  • Complete reports, logs, and quality documentation accurately.
  • Enter inspection data into company databases and tracking systems.
  • Inspect outgoing products to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and transportation requirements.
  • Maintain testing and measurement equipment.
  • Follow workplace safety standards, operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Report quality concerns and discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support organizational objectives through inspection and quality-related tasks.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and multiple shifts, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control, produce, agriculture, manufacturing, or a related industry.
  • Experience with reporting, research, data entry, and information analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic math skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Spanish/English bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
  • Must be coachable and willing to learn established quality control processes and procedures.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk and stand for most of the shift.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more, with or without assistance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Comfortable working around equipment and sharp objects.
  • Flexibility to perform a variety of job tasks and work schedules as needed.
